LIZZIE MORTON ART

In mid 2020, I prepared on a whim my first painting efforts in about … (who knows how many years! ) … since VCE studio art (and perhaps some minor mucking around in between then and now). It was of our pet dog, Pili. Since then, I have continued to build a portfolio of work in my spare time.

So why am I doing this? I need a hobby to break free of the stresses and demands of my day job and by doing this I can reinvigorate my inner creativity (I think I had some??).

A lot of the work up until early-mid 2021 is using acrylic paint; however, I have since began exploring more deeply oil painting and the atmosphere it offers. Although the long drying time certainly keeps me on my toes.
